Tea Tree Essential Oil  (or Melaleuca) is obtained from the steam distillation of the leaves or shrubs of the Melaleuca tree.  Historically, the leaves of the tea tree plant were used to cool the skin.  It is now commonly used as a disinfectant, to cleanse and rejuvenate skin and to support a healthy immune function.

What do you use Tea Tree essential oil for and how?

Tea Tree oil is quite versatile and can be used aromatically, topically and internally.

It’s cleansing and purifying properties make it a perfect oil to diffuse to purify and freshen the air in your home. It can be used on its own or with citrus oils like Lemon, Lime or Bergamot or other refreshing oils like Peppermint and Eucalyptus.

It’s cleansing and disinfecting properties also make Tea Tree a perfect addition to your homemade cleaner – simply add a few drops to a glass spray bottle with water.

I often add tea tree oil to my facial cleanser or moisturizer, for a deeper cleanse. It helps to keep my skin feeling fresh and toned.

My daughters love to use tea tree and lavender oil in a glass spray bottle as a detangler for their crazy curls. It also helps to prevent head lice. It is also rejuvenating for the hair follicles.

For a rejuvenating supplement to your immune system, add a drop of tea tree to a glass of water or take 2-3 drops in a veggie cap internally.

How do you use Tea Tree essential oil to enhance emotions?

Tea Tree essential oil is known as the “Oil of Energetic Boundaries” as it assists you in connecting to people and clears negative energetic baggage. Diffuse it regularly around the home or inhale directly from the bottle. Alternatively, add a few drops to water in a small spray bottle and spray the mist around your body throughout the day.
